Glow In the dark Clay Pigeons night clay shooting

About our ultravoilet system

Scotland’s Outdoor Centre

offers a unique and visually striking Night Clay Shooting experience (glow in the dark clay pigeons), a specialized variation of their traditional sport that allows for shooting after dark.

As a fully mobile provider, they use specialized lighting technology to make this possible at private estates and event venues across Scotland.

How Night Clay Shooting Works

  • UV Illumination: The centre uses high-powered UV (ultraviolet) lights to illuminate clays. This causes the "birds" to brightly glow in the dark clay pigeons against the night sky, making them visible and trackable for shooters.

  • Specialized Targets: The experience typically utilizes fluorescent or UV-reactive clay targets that catch the light, creating a "tracer" effect when launched.

  • Fully Mobile Setup: Just like their daytime events, they bring the entire infrastructure—including the specialized lighting rigs, automated traps, shotguns, and cartridges—to your specific location.

Experience Highlights

  • Unusual & Atmospheric: Shooting at night provides a completely different sensory experience than daytime shooting, often set against the backdrop of illuminated Scottish castles or remote Highland estates.

  • Expert Instruction: Professional coaches provide one-to-one tuition and safety briefings. Night shooting requires specific focus, and instructors help participants adjust their lead and aim for the glowing targets.

  • Perfect for Events: This is a popular premium add-on for high-end celebrations, including:

    • Hogmanay/New Year's Eve parties at venues.

    • Winter Weddings where daylight hours are short.

    • Corporate Evening Entertainment following a day of meetings.

Safety and Requirements

  • Strict Range Control: Night sessions are strictly supervised to ensure all safety boundaries are maintained in the dark, with instructors managing every aspect of the firing line.

Are you looking to book a night shoot for a specific winter event, or do you need to verify if your private land has the necessary space for a mobile night setup?
